Ensure your report can meet the challenges of NFPA 1033 and 921. This year’s spring seminar will present the Who, What, Where, When and How of report writing. On day 2 we will cover Safety for the Fire Investigator.

The seminar will include interactive exercises and culminate with a written exam. Successful candidates will receive certification for 16 hrs. of tested training.

Day 1 – June 7th – 08:00 – 17:00

Day 1 will include theory from legal, fire, police and insurance practitioners and will involve class participation in interactive exercises which will highlight the importance of peer review and will reinforce the need to write a thorough fire investigation report.

Day 2 – June 8th – 08:00 – 17:00

Day 2 is all about safety for the fire investigator. Learn about clandestine lab dangers for fire investigators (what may have been missed, what may be still to come), Signs of extraction and synthesizing clandestine drug labs, Dangers of extraction and synthesizing clandestine drug labs, Dangers of clandestine precious metals extraction labs, PPE selection – acute and chronic concerns and Decontamination.

Following class on Day 1, from 17:15 – 20:00, join your FIAA hosts in the Executive Suite on the 5th Floor, for a Meet and Greet.

Enjoy visiting with old friends and make some new connections. Light snacks and refreshments will be served.
